A totalitarian future is presented in 1984, a dystopian novel in which the Party, under the leadership of Big Brother, monitors all aspects of daily life. Winston Smith, the main character, works at the Ministry of Truth, where he modifies historical records and begins to question the regime's repression. Throughout his narrative, Orwell analyzes issues such as incessant surveillance, data manipulation, and the eradication of individual freedom, highlighting the threats posed by authoritarian governments.
